Once upon a time, I, Chuang Tzu, dreamt I was a butterfly, fluttering hither and thither, to all intents and purposes a butterfly. I was conscious only of following my fancies as a butterfly, and was unconscious of my individuality as a cat. Suddenly, I awoke, and there I lay, myself again. Now I do not know whether I was then a cat dreaming I was a butterfly, or whether I am now a butterfly dreaming that I am now a cat.



Am not entirely in love with this piece, but I'm trying to add some color to my work instead of all graphite.

I used this pic by :iconkovitlac: as the initial reference for pose and eyes, but the rest is an imaginary cat from my head...

I think that it's a great picture. I like how the butterfly and the eyes of the cat stand out, while the rest of the cat kind of fades into the white. It's peaceful, and it really matches the story you gave it

It's a nice relaxed feeling, very conducive to reflection and abstract thinking :)
